Distress Tolerance: Skills to help you navigate life’s obstacles
Join Bailey McDonald for a psychoeducational group adapted from Marsh Linehan’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program. During this 3-hour group, Participants will learn what “distress” is, how it affects functioning, what the distress tolerance skill set targets, and how to use them. This is not a process group; active participation is voluntary.
Objectives:
- Learn 3 pillars of distress tolerance
- Understand the benefit of using distress tolerance
- Problem-solving around barriers of distress tolerance skills
- Walk away with 3-5 distress tolerance skills for real life application
