Sarah Tobin M.Ed., LPC-A, NCC
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (2012) and Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2014) at Auburn University. I have spent the last 10 years at Furman University as a Case Manager where my work was rooted in trauma informed, strengths-based advocacy and support work. I’m excited to expand populations and work with all varieties of ages at GIFT Counseling.
I believe you know yourself best and I’m here as a collaborative partner in your journey. If you are my client, you can expect me to listen with empathy/ask insightful questions, be a warm presence, and create a safe space for you. I want you to leave our sessions feeling like you have support, goals, and concrete next steps moving forward.
I’m excited to offer walking sessions in addition to office sessions. These types of sessions allow for a more casual approach while increasing mindfulness and the overall mind-body connection.
When I’m not in the office, I’m serving as an adjunct faculty member at Furman University. I love taking walks in nature and spending time with my husband, son, and our two dogs. I hope I get the privilege to work with you and learn more about your story!!
