Alice Blackwell
Hello! My name is Alice Blackwell, and I am so happy you are here! I grew up in Travelers Rest, SC and love working in the area that I was raised. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College (2013), and went on to earn a Masters of Education and Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling from Clemson University (2015). I was a School Counselor for 8 years before making the transition to the GIFT team in 2023.
As a dedicated therapist, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for the individuals I work with. I am passionate about helping children and adolescents navigate the challenges they face as they grow and develop. I provide a warm, nurturing environment where young minds feel secure to express themselves and explore their emotions. I support children and adolescents in building emotional resilience, improving communication and relationships, and overcoming behavioral challenges. I believe in the importance of partnering with families to create a lasting change and empower children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. I guide my work with an empathetic, understanding and positive outlook, and want to ensure that you and your child feel comfortable and encouraged throughout the counseling process.
When I’m out of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing soccer, walking my dogs, and spending time with friends and family. I hold the relationships I have near to my heart.
I look forward to working with you, your child, and being a part of your wellness journey!
