Anna Dittenhauser, M.Ed., Ed.S., NCC, LPC-A

Hi! My name is Anna Dittenhauser and I could not be more thrilled to be a part of the amazing team here at GIFT Counseling and Wellness! I am originally from Hartsville, SC and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Concentration in Counseling from Coker University. My professional work in the human services field post-undergraduate exposed me to countless meaningful opportunities with diverse populations, and these experiences ultimately ignited my passion to pursue a life-long career as a Professional Mental Health Counselor. I spent my incredible two-year graduate school journey at Clemson University where I received my Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Over the course of my two years at Clemson, I was able to accrue extensive clinical experience with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, and was essentially very fortunate to discover that my overall passion lies in trauma work. My counselor identity is centered on a holistic, authentic, and strengths-based approach to therapy and I firmly believe in the significance of both our past and present experiences. The diverse therapeutic strategies and tools I implement aim to emphasize the significance of a mind-body mentality in the realm of my client’sā€™ personal well-being, and it is my ultimate goal to foster a trusting, genuine relationship with each and every client I work with.

As your therapist, it is of my utmost importance that you feel heard, validated, and valued each and every time you walk through my door! No matter what season of life you find yourself in and whatever your personal needs may be, know that I am committed to joining you as you embark on your mental health journey and work towards self-fulfillment and an improved quality of life!
